What Do Optiat Do?

An acronym for the maxim “One Person’s Trash Is Another’s Treasure”, this eco-friendly beauty brand takes ingredients that would otherwise be discarded and turns them into natural, sustainable (and sublime!) skin care products.

Problem?

Optiat had experienced exceptional growth since their inception in early 2016 and were on the brink of their second investment round via Crowdcube, a leading equity crowdfunding platform. However as many businesses realise, cash can become increasingly tight in the build up to closing an investment round.

GapCap’s Solution

GapCap were able to leverage their outstanding invoices to assist with their cashflow in the build up to hitting their target on Crowdcube. A year on, Optiat are continuing to use GapCap as a flexible facility in smoothing their cashflow when dealing with their larger orders from the major supermarkets.
