The Role

We’re looking for someone with a thirst for making sales, wanting to get stuck into working for an ambitious scale-up. The successful candidate will be someone ambitious who is keen to learn, enjoys the thrill of the chase but is resilient to failure.

In a fast-growing environment, it is important that all GapCappers understand flexibility and dynamism are a necessity. On a day-to-day basis, employees are asked to go outside of their job roles and pitch in to help – a ‘get your hands dirty’ attitude is crucial.

This role is principally to work on delivering new clients to the business. Your role has two key aspects

  • Generating new business opportunities per the Gapcap sales and marketing blueprint
  • Closing new business generated by other members of the team or from your own channels

Part of the commercial team, the Head of Department is Jack Trowbridge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Winning new business accounts, both from self-generated methods and closing business identified by other divisions
  • Develop a suitable and successful strategy for identifying and winning business
  • Create market opportunities through your own innovative approaches
  • Explaining to business owners and Financial Directors the benefits of using GapCap to fund their cash flow
  • Appropriately passing closed business to the Funding Management team
  • Ensuring our CRM system is used appropriately and in full

 

Goals:

At the start of each month a new business target will be set, this will include

  1. A new client target (number of new clients signed)
  2. A revenue target

The Package

We run a truly meritocratic environment where achievement and track record are rewarded well.

The candidate can expect to be earn between 20 and 24k in basic salary + pension + uncapped commission structure (1styear on track would be 36-40k)

Partnership Manager

Reporting directly to our Head of Partnerships, this role is focused on generating new business for the company through an introducer network and channel partnerships.

The role requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can build trusted relationships and work these relationships to bring in a continuous source of deal flow. Being able to understand and demonstrate the GapCap products to various introducers is crucial; this can range from the knowledgeable commercial finance broker to the ‘old school’ accountant.

The role is office based, but the successful candidate will be expected to travel around the UK building their network and meeting prospects.

We’re looking for someone with experience in business development, who wants to get stuck in to building a network, generating leads and subsequently clients. The successful candidate will be someone ambitious and driven by creating their own success. We are a truly meritocratic business and you will be well rewarded for high achievement.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively sourcing and building relationships with introducer networks and leads
  • Present the GapCap products clearly and concisely to these introducer networks and new leads
  • Educate business owners and directors on how GapCap works and how they can maximise the benefits of the products through a consultative sales approach
  • Demonstrate understanding of the small business market and problems faced
  • Actively carry out research on potential networks and clients
  • Achieve and exceed on weekly and monthly KPIs

Skills and experience:

  • Great communication skills
  • Close attention to detail
  • Experience of building a network, ideally of alternative finance introducers
  • Have a solid understanding of business development strategies
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Interest in Finance and Technology
  • An undergraduate degree is desirable but not essential

The Package

We run a truly meritocratic environment where achievement and track record are rewarded. The Partnerships Manager, if they join without an existing network can expect to earn +£45k in their first year. This will be split c.70/30% in salary and commissions.

Learning and qualifications are actively encouraged at GapCap and in addition to industry, company and role specific training programmes, there is an opportunity to take formal qualifications. You must have a valid visa to work in the UK anda full UK driving licence.
