THE ROLE
 
Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Funding Coordinator (ideal for a recent Graduate) to manage a portfolio of clients, foster strong relationships and deeply understand their funding needs. You will work directly with the decision makers at our clients’ and provide an integral link between the business development, risk, finance and tech teams. You’ll need to have an adaptable style to work with a mixture of business types and sizes. 
 
It is an excellent job for the analytical mind. You’ll be working across the account management, risk, operations and finance teams, getting stuck in to underwriting decisions, monitoring clients and collaborating with the sales team to get funding to our clients. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable building long term commercial relationships but is also detail oriented and organised – we are fast and friendly fintech (in a laid back office!). With that in mind, you’ll be expected to contribute ideas to tech development, working closely with our tech team to constantly improve and streamline the GapCap platform and processes.
 
The role is by nature transactional, and requires the Funding Coordinator to communicate with multiple clients and debtors, as well as liaising internally with teams at GapCap. There is an administrative aspect to the role, though our tech platform is designed to automate as much of the transactional process as possible.
 
In a fast-growing environment, it is important that all GapCappers understand flexibility and dynamism are a necessity. On a day-to-day basis, employees are asked to go outside of their job roles and pitch in to help – a ‘get your hands dirty’ attitude is crucial.
 
THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Managing a portfolio of clients: working directly with their senior management(typically the CEO/FD) as the GapCap point of contact in assisting with their funding requirements. You will also be required to travel to meet your clients, with a view to building your portfolio.
  • Also, partnering with our risk team to gain a deep understanding of all transactional risks and conveying these clearly to clients. Collect and analyse financial information and make recommendations regarding clients’ facility.
  • Participating in tech development projects so that we continue to build anintelligent fintech platform.
  • Assisting the BD team with marketing events, trade shows and campaigns.
  • Learning the basics of finance and starting a formal qualification if you wish (we have staff currently doing CIMA and IAD)

  • Undergraduate qualification (with transferrable and relatable experience).

Regional Director
Reporting directly to our Commercial Director, this role is focused on generating new business for the company from external sources such as accountants, solicitors, bankers and commercial finance brokers.
 
The role requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can build trusted relationships and work these relationships to bring in a continuous source of deal flow. Being able to understand and demonstrate the GapCap products to various introducers is crucial; this can range from the knowledgeable commercial finance broker to the ‘old school’ accountant.
 
We are looking for someone who can negotiate at director level a suitable funding solution with the client and prepare a comprehensive credit report detailing the background of the company, details of the business, nature of sector, background of the directors and an up to date financial picture of the company’s trading performance through analysis of the audited and management accounts.
We’re looking for someone with experience in business development, who wants to get stuck in to working their network, generating leads and subsequently clients. The successful candidate will be someone ambitious and driven by creating their own success. Someone who can work on their own initiative and be responsible for their own diary planning and networking activities.
 
Responsibilities will include:
•Proactively work relationships with introducer networks and leads
•Present GapCap’s products clearly and concisely to these introducer networks and prospects
•Educate business owners and directors on how GapCap works and how they can maximise the benefits of the products through a consultative sales approach
•Demonstrate understanding of the small business market and problems faced
•Actively carry out research on potential networks and clients
•Achieve and exceed on weekly and monthly KPIs

Skills and experience:
•In depth knowledge of receivables finance, corporate finance and commercial finance
products and markets.
•The candidate will have a network of introducers from the accountancy, broker and banking sector that are currently supporting the candidate with funding opportunities.
•A working knowledge of financial accounts and cash flow forecasts is essential.
•Clear and concise report writing and communication skills.
•A proven track record of success in front line sales within the financial services sector.
•A professional manner and self-motivated individual.
•An undergraduate degree is desirable but not essential

The Package
We run a truly meritocratic environment where achievement and track record are rewarded. The package will be split c.70/30% in salary and commission. 
 
Learning and qualifications are actively encouraged at GapCap and in addition to industry, company and role specific training programmes, there is an opportunity to take formal qualifications. You must have a valid visa to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Business Development Executive

The candidate will be a member of the Business Development team, working directly with SME business owners. This role is focused on generating new business for the company through warm leads. The all-encompassing ‘sourcing & closing’ aspect of the job offers autonomy and flexibility to the right candidate. The position will suit someone with a more consultative approach to business development and a focus on long term relationship building. The focus of the role is to be engaging with, and educating business advisers, business owners and FDs on the benefits of GapCap.

The role requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can build trusted relationships with business owners from a variety of sectors. The candidate will be hungry for success, driven by deals and self-motivated. Equally, the ability to work collaboratively with our marketing team and work well within a team is crucial.

Marketing Executive

The Role

We need an enthusiastic graduate to join our marketing team and take ownership of our campaign strategy. You are going to be an ambitious and creative multi-tasker who will relish the opportunity to put great ideas into practice.

Your main responsibility is to drive understanding, awareness and demand for the GapCap products, building trust in the brand and spreading the word to the UK’s SME community. You will be interacting with different departments in the business every day.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to acquire new business across various channels from paid social to email campaigns to affiliate partnerships
  • Tracking, analysis and reporting campaigns KPIs in our CRM system and use this to produce meaningful analysis and seek insights from data.
  • Events: in conjunction with our partnerships team, you will be running events & shows, alongside attendance at industry conferences.
  • You will be assisting in the ideation of social content as part of the digital strategy.
  • PR: you will be working with our network to produce and distribute GapCap collateral.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Great communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Super organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  • Good Microsoft Office experience and comfortable with numbers.
  • Interest in fintech
  • A strong academic background

ADVANTAGEOUS IF YOU HAVE…
